Tips For A Pleasurable Trip

Dress appropriately: Bring sun protection:
Wear a cap, sunglasses, and cool, comfortable clothing. Because of the heat and humidity, cotton provides the most comfort. Wear shoes with rubber soles to prevent slipping. An SPF of 30 is recommended. The reflection of the water combined with the intensity of sun rays (even on cloudy days) can cause you to sunburn very quickly.
Bring lunch, snacks, and drinks: Take precautions to prevent seasickness:
Boat is equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Bring an ample supply of water or other types of drinks to prevent dehydration. Sandwiches, snacks, and drinks may be purchased at the dock store (opens at 6 AM). Avoid heavy, rich foods and excessive alcohol the night before. Have a light, non-greasy breakfast. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider taking medication to prevent it (ginger tablets are natural remedy).
Follow instructions: Tip Your Deckhand Appropriately:
Your Captain and Deckhand want you to have a safe and enjoyable trip, so rely on their experience and follow their instructions. Deckhand should receive a minimum tip of 15% of the cost of the trip, but you may certainly reward him with a greater amount for his hard work if you think he deserves it. Deckhand will clean your fish for a reasonable rate (depending on the boat, approximately 30 cents a pound.
